That was my first suggestion/findings on page 2, but I guess we need to make sure these main tips get put on stickies and wikis. They claim they checked that, but it fits the symptoms.

So after installing win 7 and osa 047 my mobile page is still not working properly everything else works perfect. After going through the wiki and the forum, I still can't seem to find the problem the service is running and responsive and so is the rest object plus it has the correct port. I tried different browsers and android devices but it still does not work and since nobody else has reported any issues it has to be on my side.

So after a hole day of trying things out I found that only some of the rest calls are not working including these three:

localhost:8732/api/objects/basetype/{TYPE}
localhost:8732/api/objects/container/{CONTAINER}
localhost:8732/api/objects/type/{TYPE}

I don't know if this helps tracking down the problem but I am at the end of my knowledge and don't really know how to fix it :(

So some are working? That really helps the differential and at least removes firewall issue. I will specifically test those 3 from 2 of my test boxes today and see if I can find out what might be off.

http://localhost:8732/api/objects/basetype/PERSON
http://localhost:8732/api/objects/type/PERSON
http://localhost:8732/api/objects/container/HOUSE

All worked on the test machine and the browser returns .json output with the proper content in them. This is on the clean install I show the videos from, not an upgraded 046. If you have upgraded from old DB's, let me know so I can check and test for missing SQL. This is a Windows 10 desktop, using IExplorer, but I also tested in MS Edge.

I will try all three on my laptop and let you know if I get any different results.

Sadly, I was not able to add additional logs to REST, and after startup, I get nothing in my logs, so hard to confirm what REST plugin is seeing. I had never worked with it before, so I will go back and see if there is someway that it can write to the logs so you can see when requests come in.

I got the logging partially figured out and added a log entry for each of the REST links you mentioned. The only issue is that the logs are under OSARest.api, and not under the main REST plugin's logs. You should see both under server logs. The entries look like this:

12-14 20:39:34.03 DEBUG OSAERest.api Looking up objects of the base type: PERSON. I Found 3.
12-14 20:39:31.06 DEBUG OSAERest.api Looking up objects in container: HOUSE. I Found 5.
12-14 20:39:29.01 DEBUG OSAERest.api Looking up objects of the type: PERSON. I Found 3.

So you should at least be able to see if Rest is getting your requests.

I am attaching the dll. It is a zip file, you will have to rename the .txt to zip.

rename .txt to .zip, exctract the .dll and replace in your osa\plugins\rest directory

So I tried the commands again and my logs show that the rest receives them even when I try the mobile page, so i figure the json is not being returned or is blocked somewhere.

Server logs :

12-15 15:08:58.01 DEBUG OSAERest.api Looking up objects of the type: person. I Found 1.

12-15 15:06:54.02 DEBUG OSAERest.api Looking up objects in container: house. I Found 6

12-15 14:34:56.06 DEBUG OSAERest.api Looking up objects of the base type: place. I Found 9.

I will PM you the mobile link to my test box and you can see if my setup is displaying for you. And maybe vise-versa.

When you set up your port forwarding, are your forwarding TCP & UDP? If you only forward TCP, it may cause this issue, at least according to a test I did a few weeks back, and I only forwarded TCP. That is in your router, I would completely turn off Windows firewall until the issue is resolved.
