More home automation hardware based on ESP8266 & Sonoff

#1 Post by dj-eon » Fri Jun 02, 2017 7:46 am

Hi.
Its been a while, however behind closed doors I have been working on hardware and code to control RGB lights and 2812 RGB lights using ESP8266 modules.
These are very cheap and very reliable as they are WiFi enabled, so connect back to OSA via your existing WiFi network.

As well as this, I have managed to re-program Sonoff S20 sockets (Which are also ESP8266 based) to work with OSA.
These are also very cheap devices compared to most other manufacturers.

If anyone is interested on how to use these with OSA, please let me know.
I have written an OSA plugin and firmware to re-program the Sonoff units which it working excellently.
At this time, the Sonoff devices also update the status in OSA when changed locally.

Nice!

The new 049 version changes the SQL formatting needed by the plugin installers. I will update any SQL that is in Git, else I can give you the new format for the calls. (Basically everything on object_types has a toolip text field now, nothing too crazy)
