I don't see anything about my MS10a in the logs. Would I have to create a new object for my MS10a device first?

EDIT: "Object type" i mean..

I use the X-10 CM19A, which still uses the same plugin CM15A.

I also have several DS10A/DS12A sensors.

Here is a clip from my CM15A log from today:

Notice that they are exactly or very close to 1 hour apart.

This broadcast is received by the CM15A and the CM19A.
I feel this is the Battery Ping being sent out. You notice that the "84,0" part of the received message never changes.
Meaning I am receiving the exact same command over and over every hour.
However, if I Open the Door or Window, I do NOT get an entry in the log at all.
According to the X-10 forum, the CM15A and the CM19A can not process the actual signal used for "Event Triggers".

According to DME, the 84,0 should be "Contact Closed", and 84,04 would be "Contact Open".

So, if my CM19A received an actual door/window Open or Close event from the DS10a/DS12a, The log would show 2 events occurring fairly close to each other, and they would also contain different params.

Another note I have noticed is, If I move my CM19A receiver over 1 foot to the left, I quit getting these entries completely. So that tells me they are very sensitive and do not have a very far range.

If anyone else is seeing something different in their logs, or has more information, I can look in to some of this.
Not sure if Vaughn's antenna is still down or not.

I received this once in my log:

12/15/2013 07:07:42.548 PM - Received :recvrf,m1,socialite,67,73,56,60,8c,0,12/16/2013 3:07:41 AM
12/15/2013 07:07:44.652 PM - No OSA Object found for X10 Address: m1

Not sure what it all means. I have a MS10A motion sensor. I added a new object of type ds10a (there isn't an ms10a type). I set the owner of the ds10a type to my cm15a. I also set the address of the new object to: 569E80 (I read some post my sensor might use this as the address). I really don't know what i'm doing... was this some random signal i received or was it from my ms10a motion sensor?

Well, according to DME:

The "m1" is the device code. House-Code="m" / Device-Code = "1" (Just like all X-10 devices)
However, this is not changeable, and will be the same on all your units

The first 4 params after "socialite" is the actual device address. In your case: 67-73-56-60

The Last 2 params are the actual command. I do not see were DME shows the "8c".
According to him, any Contact changes should be "84" and the last on would be "-1" for Open or "0" for Closed.

My log never shows me any of these.

When I get a chance, I will bring one in here by my receiver, and play with it and see if I can get any other responses out of it.

There is always the possibility that the CM15A can receive signals my CM19A can't.

Strange. I can't get it to work again. I only have this one log record... was it just a fluke? Do you guys recommend another brand of motion detector & receiver? A wall keypad would be nice too. Basically a dirt cheap wireless alarm motion sensor that I can receive triggers with my pc is what i'm trying to get...
