Re: powershell question

I tried to use your invocation but could not get it to work. This what I currently have: invoke-osa -name "PowerShell" -method "RUN SCRIPT" -parameter1 "counttest" -parameter2 $count but it gives me the error: 04/08/2013 06:47:04.095 PM - Error Processing Command: Unknown column 'counttest' in 'wher...

Re: powershell question

Your work around doesn't work either. I tried something like this before, but to be sure I did it the way you said. Here is the script I create called couttest, yours with minor changes: $intobj = get-osa -name "Alarm" if ($intobj.properties["Stop Requested"].value -NE "TRUE") { if (!$parameter2) { ...

Re: powershell question

I'm pretty sure this won't work. To get my delay to work I needed a timed even which put the script to set away in the queue behind count down. I think once the count down is start, I cannot terminate it. I think I can prevent the arming tho by setting an attribute called cancelled. Then the arm awa...

Re: powershell question

I came up with a method that works, but don't know how to interrupt it. I simply did the count down the original way. But what I did was create a new Thing object with a off timer set to 10 seconds. At the end of the count down in the script I issued a method on for the thing/timer object. Then crea...

Re: powershell question

basic security system functionality. The user presses arm away and the count down starts giving him time to leave. He changes his mind for some reason so he presses disarm. You would want the count down terminated at that point.

Re: powershell question

Interesting. I tried this. Here is the script I created: $count-- if ($count -GE 0) { invoke-osa -name "Speech-Mark-Netbook" -method "Say" -parameter1 "$count" invoke-osascript -name "countdown" -nested "TRUE" } else { invoke-osa -name "Speech-Mark-Netbook" -method "Say" -parameter1 "Count Down comp...

Re: powershell question

Something else I found. I have a series of state images that can turn lights on and off. While the count down is running, I can click the light to turn them one, the state changes for all the I select. But no lights turn on of off until the count down completes.
