Re: powershell question

I studied the power shell logs to study the order of processing. Things appear to process in the order expected. However, the state of the alarm object properties when tested by these scripts looks to be what they were when the first script started. Do we get an environment snap when the script star...

Re: powershell question

Sorry it took me awhile to test it. It works better but I still cannot interrupt it. Here is the count down code: $cnt = [int]$parameter2 $al = get-osa -name "Alarm" if ($cnt -EQ 0) { invoke-osa -name "Alarm" -method "Set State to Away" invoke-osa -name "Speech-Mark-Netbook" -method "Say" -parameter...

I have increment and decrement scripts for the setpoint that look like this (decrement example) $v = get-osa -name "Thermostat" $temp = [int]$v.properties["Heat Setpoint"].value $temp-- #$v.properties["Heat Setpoint"].value == $temp.ToString() set-osa -name "Thermostat" -Property "Heat Setpoint" -va...

Re: powershell question

How could that matter, the temperature is an int? If I set it to 70 or 20, it is either 70F or 20C. It should still work to set it. Now how the number is used matters. The log says it cannot find 'property'. I think that means it doesn't understand the "-property" text on the comman, not the temp va...

Re: powershell question

A side question about powershell. I have been trying to set the setpoint and current temp of a thermostat object and can't seem to get it to work. The Power shell documentation uses this example: set-osa -name "Thermostat" -property "Desired Temp" -value "22" The property names in thermostat (accord...
