Re: Sensing Sun Light Level and Motor Operation

Good find on the solar radiation sensor. One thing to note is that currently the 1-Wire plugin for OSA only supports temperature sensors. The 1-Wire plugin was originally created by Brain, but I did a bit of work on it myself. I have been planning on getting a 1-wire humidity sensor at some point fr...

Re: Need Help Using X10 Firecracker, CM17A

Q: What lengths of wire have you used in placing the sensor devices? In my setup, the longest run is ~100 feet give or take 15 feet as I never measured it out. I have read posts in different forums though of people that have successfully run 200 feet plus with good results. Responding to this threa...

Off timer not updating on GUI screen

OK, here is the scenario. I have a motion sensor in my garage. I have it set so that on the off event of the motion sensor triggers the garage door to close. I then have a script that changes the off timer at night and in the morning such that during the day, the off timer is set to 1800 (1/2 hour),...

Re: Need Help Using X10 Firecracker, CM17A

I need to be able to measure outdoor, indoor, and heater interior air temps For this I would recommend 1-Wire. If you look on Ebay, you can find a DS9097U USB 1-wire adapter for about $20.00. IF you are okay with soldering, all you need then is wire (I use cat5 wire), and a bunch of DS18B20 temp se...

Re: Need Help Using X10 Firecracker, CM17A

I actually purchased an XTB-IIR from JV Digital Engineering to replace mine. A bit pricey, but a great product..

I have my old XPCR phase coupler that I don't use. I would be willing to sell it if you are interested.

Re: Need Help Using X10 Firecracker, CM17A

Just few things that you may or may not be aware of when using a firecracker module: The CM17A firecracker is an RF device only, so if you are using any modules on the powerline, you will also need a TM751, RR501 or similar tranceiver to make things work. Another thing to note is that the TM751 only...

Re: Showing the time on the web server analytics page

I guess I would have to look at a few pages, but I can't imagine it would be that hard.
