I think it was put in a different repository because it was not developed in Visual Studio. So people would generally want to store the files in a different location than their VS files.Vaughn wrote:I will go ahead and move the source over and peek at it too.

Re: OSA on a cheap Windows tablet PC (Chuwi vi8, Intel CPU)
Awesome to hear it is running ok and such a low power machine. This is one of my biggest roadmap issues right now. Do I improve OSA's core logic but require more computing power or Do I streamline and reduce the core logic running all the time so it has lower hardware requirements My vote would be ...

Re: Problems using mixed types of home automation hardware
The CM17A hardware does not even support receiving X10 signals, only transmitting. So there is no way it could be re-transmitting a received X10 signal.

Re: Plugin concept changes - disruptive
It's been a while since I've run OSA in client / server mode but as I remember it, only the server installed the MySQL database. When installing the client you had to point them to the MySQL database on the server. If you installed a plugin on a client all the configuration was stored in the MySQL d...

Re: Unable to load the More plugins window under management
It worked in 0.4.3 It pulls down a list of all the plugins from the OSA web site and then compares it to the list of installed plugins and shows a list of all the available plugins to install. The idea was you could install new plugins from the web page. I don't know if that part actually worked. Mo...

@fiveHellions
Looks like the Nest plugin is creating a new connection to the Nest cloud without disconnecting the old connection. If the plugin is left running for an extended time, I get pages and pages of connections that can be seen in TCPView

Re: Thoughts about Windows 10 IoT and OSA
If you want a full LCARS system wall mounted, Windows 10 Tablets are the way to go for that. Or if you have simple UI requirement you can go with a cheap Android tablet with the browser pointing to the OSA web server. By the time you purchase RPi2, touchscreen, enclosure, WiFi, power supply, etc yo...

Re: Thoughts about Windows 10 IoT and OSA
Interest read although most of the posted comments are against the original article. I think it is mainly a misunderstand of the purpose of Win 10 IoT. The UI is not the primary objective of IoT like it is on the big Win 10.

Sounds like a nice setup. Maybe when you have a chance you could post some more details in the OSA Wiki.
