Re: Automate your sprinkler/irrigation system

I've been thinking about something similar for my garden, but my first thought was to do it a different way. I'd like to find a way to directly measure the wetness of the soil and run the irrigation only if it really needs it. This seems much less complex than measuring rain, etc. Any thoughts on th...

[SOLVED]System time stuck

Hey all, Recently upgraded to 0.3.7 and my system time is now stuck at 3.25am. Rebooted machine, etc and the problem remains. It seems to start with 0.3.7, but I can't be sure as I didn't notice it until I recently starting working with some schedules. Any ideas? I'm not sure where the time comes fr...

W800RF

I know there's a plugin for the serial version of this receiver, but has anyone tried the USB version with OSA? I'd like to get out and don't want to be tied to a serial port as they're getting hard to find on new hardware. According to the manufacturer: "The USB model incorporates a "virtual COM po...

Zwave polling

Is it possible to see or set the polling time for Z-Wave objects? I see I can enable or disable polling, but I don't see anything about how often that happens. I ask because I'm looking at getting some GE 45609 wall switches and they do NOT update their status if toggled locally, so I'd like to have...

Re: Jabber plugin disconnects

Hey Brian,

Just wanted to let you know that as of 0.3.5 the Jabber plugin is working great. I can see in the logs that it reconnects once or twice a day when it gets disconnected.

Thanks for adding this feature, it's made Jabber very useful for me. :)

Re: Hi Vaughn and Brian Long time no see

For me this problem was due to an incorrect "start in" path in the shortcut to the OSA executable. Maybe you have the same problem?

Re: Vehicle and people monitoring

Also, I've spent a great deal of time thinking about occupancy and wanted to try and do vehicle monitoring in order to determine if there were people home or not. I came to the conclusion that it's just not worth it, and really isn't totally foolproof anyway. We have two cars in our family, but alwa...
