Re: Beginning smarthome user

Some devices plug into the I/OLinc and work like sensors and devices that can be controlled (i.e. the garage door kit). Any thoughts on how to set one of those up? If I set it up like an X10 Relay and include the XX.XX.XX address, it updates when the sensor updates. If I set it up like an Insteon Ap...

Re: Email time out

While its not a timeout, i can't get the email to work. Any thoughts? I use the same settings in HouseLinc, but there are no errors in the email log file: here's what it has: 09/30/2011 10:30:05.656 PM - to: email@hartford.edu 09/30/2011 10:30:05.656 PM - from: email@hartford.edu 09/30/2011 10:30:05...

And I should mention that clicking on the x's seems to work...you just can't tell what you're clicking on.

Any thoughts?

Re: Webserver install/how to get it running

After installing PHP on my machine and using IIS, the sytem appears to be working....but....the website appears to show the screens, but none of the images show up - they all have the little red x's, even though all of the images are in the same WWW directory as the images for the screens. Why would...

Re: Scripting Examples

So I call this from the script editor? Can you provide a sample command? When I try something like SYSTEM.Run Method. the only options are Set Occupants, Set State to Away, Set State to Home, and Set State to Sleep.. These are the same methods listed for SYSTEM under object types. Am I missing somet...

Re: Scripting Examples

Thanks guys for all of the help in the other threads I had submitted. I recently began playing again and got the system up and running. I understand with version 3.1 we should be able to interact with OSA both ways. http://www.opensourceautomation.com/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_interact_with_OSA Wh...

Sorry I'm just not getting this - See the screenshots of the manager and the log. Do these not look right?
